Outdoor fun at River Top Cabins

While River Top Cabins is all about luxury and privacy, our guests are  surrounded by all kinds of outdoor fun. Literally steps out your door is the Lower Mountain Fork River. River Top Cabins sits on 3 acres of pristine land, on a bluff 30 feet above the river, giving you 500 feet of river frontage. This portion of the river flows out of Broken Bow Lake dam and has a steady flow of cool water -- great for floating and fishing nearly year round! Also, Beavers Bend State Park and Broken Bow Lake are a short 25-minute drive from River Top Cabins, and the Little River National Wildlife Refuge is just a few miles away!

The river is great for swimming or paddling, especially for kids in kayaks or a couple taking a peaceful canoe ride up and down the river. Adventurous guest will find white water fun just a short distance upstream, and just below the Broken Bow Lake you will find trophy trout fishing in the dam tail waters. Kayak and canoe outfitters are just 10 minutes away from the cabin, and the most popular take-out on the river is just a few hundred yards downstream. You may also rent our kayaks or canoe and take them upriver or put in and take out right at River Top Resort!

River Top Cabins is bordered on the north and west by private timberlands, adding to the peace and serenity of the outdoor surroundings. Little River National Wildlife Refuge is just 5 minutes from the resort and is a great place to take a quiet walk, go for a mountain bike ride, or enjoy some bird-watching. Wildlife abounds in the area including white-tailed deer, wild turkey, wood ducks, bald eagles and, of course, Kingfishers!. In the evening, relax on the deck or hot tub with a cold adult beverage and listen to the chorus of crickets, cicadas, tree frogs, whip-poor-wills, owls and coyotes!
